iKon Certified: Country Bourbon – A Modern Country Playlist Built on StorytellingSouthern Culture, Real Music, Real Experiences

(Dallas, TX) May 29, 2026 - Today, iKon Certified is spotlighting Country Bourbon — a playlist rooted in southern culture, lived experiences, and songwriting that feels honest from beginning to end. More than just a soundtrack inspired by aged whiskey and backroad memories, Country Bourbon captures the feeling of late-night conversations with old friends, quiet moments by the fireplace, and reflections on love, heartbreak, family, and the memories that shape who we are.

Country music has always carried a unique ability to speak plainly about life and emotion. From Cody Johnson’s Til You Can’t to Chris Stapleton’s Tennessee Whiskey, these records reflect honesty, resilience, and soul. Maren Morris’s The Bones reminds listeners how powerful love can be when the foundation is strong, while Shaboozey’s Fire and Gasoline paints a vivid picture of passion beginning as a spark before becoming impossible to control.

No matter the mood you're in—whether reflective, nostalgic, hopeful, or heartbroken—Country Bourbon embraces the spirit of southern life through music that feels personal and familiar. Whether paired with a glass of Tennessee bourbon, Kentucky whiskey, or simply a quiet evening alone, the playlist is meant to feel like the soundtrack to real memories and real conversations. Some songs feel less like records and more like moments you somehow lived yourself.

"The songs people return to are often the simplest—records shaped by strong writing, memorable performances, and experiences that feel familiar long after the music ends."

Montrel spotlights independent talent with Love That Makes The World Go Round (Read More), inspired by an encounter with a homeless veteran in Texas. The playlist also features the beautifully written You Lit A Fire by Sadie Wilkes, paired with standout production from Timber Ridge Records. The playlist also includes Nothing Feels Real by Grammy-nominated artist JES, adding another distinctive voice to the collection. As country music continues to evolve, songs built on strong writing and believable performances remain at the heart of the genre.

iKon Certified: Country Bourbon celebrates the craftsmanship of songwriting, strong production, and records that remain connected to southern roots, because the best country songs are not just heard, they are lived.
